Located on the secluded Wolmar beach on the west coast of Mauritius, Sands Resort & Spa is a lovely hotel with a typically island inspired architecture, with large open spaces and thatch roofing. Furnished and decorated with natural materials like wood and rattan which blend harmoniously with the beautiful tropical garden, the hotel offers to its guests a godsend of sublime sunsets. The hotel has been renovated in 2014 but has kept its cozy island charm. The rooms have welcoming interiors and are spacious and comfortable with just the right balance of authenticity.

All rooms are sea facing and are spread in small two-storied thatched roof bungalows. The rooms are decorated with a warm colour palette of vibrant tropical nuances and beige undertones, which keep the rooms cozy and welcoming while some wooden furniture and accessories keep the rooms’ authentic island feel.

52 Superior Suites of 52, 5 M², Located on the first and second floor these rooms are completed by a balcony which offers beautiful ocean views, where you can enjoy sensational sunsets. The suite consists of a spacious bedroom with King Size bed, spacious bathroom with separate shower, bath and toilet. A few pairs interconnect through an adjoining door.

26 Deluxe Suites of 52, 5 M², These rooms share the same size, amenities and interiors as the Superior Suites yet they are located on the ground floor which offer the facility of direct beach access.

12 Deluxe Suites of 52, 5 M², Beautifully appointed ground floor suites, offering mesmerizing ocean views share same similarities as the Deluxe Suites. They are located nearest to the beach ensuring you the perfect beachfront retreat.

1 Exclusive Suite 145 m², including terrace, this unique suite located by the shoreline and overlooks the breathtaking turquoise waters. Generous in space this elegant suite is dotted with two bedrooms, a living / dining space, a spacious bathroom with separate shower, bath, dressing and toilet.

Tamarind Terrace is the hotel main restaurant located by the swimming pool overlooking the ocean. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience of international dishes expertly blended with local savors. It opens everyday for breakfast and themed buffet dinner.

SPICES 50 seats

A contemporary restaurant with an elegant atmosphere offering exquisite “A la carte” menus, it opens daily for lunch and dinner and offers international cuisine with delectable touch of spices of the Indian Ocean to stimulate your senses.

12.00 to 15.00 for lunch and 19.00 to 22.00 for dinner

PINKPEPPERCORN 20 seats

Beach restaurant set under shady trees offers a large selection menu from fresh vegetables, delicious seafood and meat. The perfect place for a romantic candlelight dinner. The restaurant serves delectable grill lobster menus. Lunch and dinner are served "a la carte"

DOLPHIN BAR

This place is the only bar and one of the most buzzing place of the hotel where you can enjoy your aperitif and digestif at the sound of live music and folkloric shows.

Open from 8:00 am to midnight.

SANDS SPA

The spa offers a full range of massage and body care treatment using exotic aromas and essential oils for you to indulge in relaxation and well being. The spa is dotted with 4 massage and treatment rooms including 2 double treatment rooms, hammam, and sauna and beauty parlour.

SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT

The gym is equipped with the latest cardio vascular and weight training equipment. Fitness and stretching sessions are provided by the instructor. Other activities like aquagym, bocci ball, snooker are also available.
